A-STEP (Stage I)

Development of Highly-Functional Polymers and Nanocomposites for Next-Generation Devices and Structures

PI: J. Tanks, NIMS

Co-PI: Y. Arao, Waseda University

Period: 2025/10 - 2028/3

The objective of this project is to develop novel epoxy-based thermally conductive polymers and their nanocomposites through a unique combination of copolymer design and processing techniques. Thermal, dielectric, and mechanical properties will be evaluated over a wide range of structures and compositions to construct a property “map”, which can then be used by industry to identify candidates for new R&D areas. Stay tuned for more updates!
